Make breakfast or snack time extra fun with these fruit and waffle kabobs. Made from homemade Greek yogurt waffles, fresh fruit, and cheese, they’re served with two delicious dips: one sweet with honey and another savory with dill. Perfect for kids, brunch tables, or quick bites that feel like a treat.
Ingredients
Greek Yogurt Waffles:
- 2 C flour
- 1 T baking powder
- 3 T sugar
- ½ C cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- ½ C plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ C milk
- assorted fruit and/or vegetables
- assorted cheeses
Honey Yogurt Dip:
- ¼ C vanilla Greek yogurt
- ½ tsp honey
Savory Yogurt Dip:
- ¼ C plain Greek yogurt
- 1 T dill, chopped
- 1/8 T lemon juice
Preparation
Greek Yogurt Waffles:
- Preheat waffle maker. Add flour, baking powder, sugar and cornstarch to a large bowl.
- Combine eggs, Greek yogurt, vanilla and milk in another bowl.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients, add the wet ingredients.
- Whisk batter until combined.
- Add batter to the waffle maker and cook in batches.
- Cut waffles, or make mini sized waffles.
- Fill a kabob stick or straw with fresh fruit, berries, vegetables, cheese and the waffles.
Honey Yogurt Dip:?
- Mix the yogurt and honey to make a fun dip for the waffles and fruit.
Savory Yogurt Dip:?
- Mix the yogurt, dill and lemon juice to make a savory dip for the vegetable and cheese kabobs.
